7 Renovations To Make Your Home Appealing to Next-Gen Buyers

1. Up-to-Date Kitchen

Giving your kitchen a modern touch is the best way to make your home more attractive to buyers. Even simple updates like appliances and refacing cabinets can transform the room.

2. Energy Efficient
The next generation of buyers have a higher demand for a "greener" home. This can include minor updates such as energy efficent aplliances (Refridgeratior, Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer, etc.) to help reduce power bills.

3. Smart Home Devices
Incorporating technology into your home is a great way to impress younger buyers. This can include self-programming thermostats, wireless securty cameras, and smart-phone controlled locks. These elements will help make a home seem more enjoyable, safer, and connected.

4. Low Maintenance
Low maintenance flooring, countertops, and decks are eye-catching to next-gen buyers. This can give a home a modern look, while keeping maintenance easy and seamless.

5. Separate Laundry Room
55% of next-gen buyers wouldn't buy a home without having an entire room dedicated to laundry. This allows for practical storage and space aside from the actual washing machine and dryer.

6. Home Office
Working from home is the new normal for younger professionals and having a proper workspace is crucial. Whether this is a quiet den, attic space, or extra bedroom, having some extra space that someone can dedicate to telecommuting will set your home apart.

7. Updated Interior
Lastly, renovating your home to keep up with the newest design trends will increase buyer traffic. This means less time and money for the buyer to keep their home looking timeless.
