Why I Love my Job!
I am often asked why I love my job. In celebration of my 23 years in real estate I'd thought I'd share my Top 10 list of joy and mishaps that make me love my job!
10) I had been showing houses to a pregnant client. We found "the one" and she loved the house so much she went into labor and four hours later had her baby!
9) I once yanked an old door shut and ripped off my toenail!
8) I was filling out paperwork with clients and was trying my hardest to be professional as their triplets were under the table pulling on my nylons & tickling my toes.
7) I opened a garage door and was attacked by a dog.
6) I watched an immigrant kiss the door steps to his new home, the miracle of home ownership and freedom in his new country.
5) I had a beautiful antique oak chair fall out of the rafters on me.
4) During a final walk through, I flushed a toilet to check the plumbing and flooded all four levels of the home.
3) While showing rural properties during a blizzard, zero visibility led me to
South Dakota , imagine my surprise!
2) I once sold a home with 45 pet snakes, Groovy!
1) One of my first transactions was helping a man who had been homeless most of his life buy his first home for $24,000.
